My dear friend Amy Farmer started a tradition of baking cookies every single Friday as a way to welcome her sons home from school. The best part is, the whole neighborhood is welcome to come for a warm cookie too! She loves a unique, quality, tasty, chewy, delicious cookie. We have gathered 27 of her favorites into one booklet. She has gifted this collection to her friends and family, and finally, it's available to you in a limited edition!
Combining Amy's tried & true recipes, her helpful baking tips and clever cookie quotes, the design for Cookie Friday came together beautifully. I am grateful I was able to play a small part in her incredibly generous and friendly Friday tradition!

I started baking cookies each Friday after school for neighbors and friends in the fall of 2010. I was inspired by two of my cousins that do the same thing in their neighborhoods in Laie, Hawaii and Cedar City, Utah. By starting Cookie Friday, I hoped to encourage my boys to choose to stay close to home; and also to create a feeling of unity in our neighborhood. Plus, I love to please people with food. What better way to do that than with cookies?
